| Description: | U.S. Army Colonel Jack Guernsey is a former Delaware National Guard brigade commander and recipient of the Silver Star in Vietnam. An attorney, Col Guernsey is a 1969 graduate of West Point who served for 25 years in the Reserve Forces before retiring in 1999.
Col Guernsey recognized the significant sacrifice of 646 Philadelphians who lost their lives in the Vietnam conflict, including the 66 from Thomas Edison High School, the largest number of any high school in the nation. |
